Dean & Friends Hour:
The Dean and Friends Hour is an opportunity to provide an informal setting for UHC students to get to know and interact with the UHC Dean and some of his friends who have unique or interesting perspectives on the world.
On Tuesday October 26th Dean Arp and OSU Director of Government Relations, Jock Mills joined UHC students for a light lunch and conversation on the upcoming general election. They discussed various state initiatives, including Measures 71 & 73 in depth. View discussion points here.
On Wednesday, January 21st Dean Arp and Dr. Kevin Ahern, Director of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Summer Research Program, met for a light lunch and conversation about the HHMI Summer Research Program. The discussion centered around the application process and the valuable experience gained in a laboratory setting.

On Tuesday, November 18th Dean Arp and Dean Cyril Clarke, with the College of Veterinary Medicine met for coffee and conversation about preparing for and applying to graduate and professional schools. The conversation discussed the application process, what programs are looking for and how best to prepare yourself.
