Honors Experience Scholarships are available to all UHC students in support of learning experiences outside of the classroom. For example, a scholarship can help pay for fees or expenses associated with a study abroad or an internship; it could assist in purchasing research materials or supporting research-related travel; a scholarship could support a service learning opportunity; or one might reimburse fees associated with classes that include travel. In order to be eligible, students must be enrolled in the UHC at the time of the experience, and the experience must earn OSU credit.
Students may apply for up to $2,000 and must include a budget detailing how requested funds will be used with their application (see below). Apply now in support of experiences planned at any time during the 2012-2013 academic year. All applications in support of eligible experiences will be considered.
Note: Depending upon the experience and the amount of support awarded, the selection committee may decide to provide a portion of the funds in advance of the experience and the remainder after completion and the production of some documentation of the experience for use by the UHC. Where applicable, the details of these arrangements will be determined upon notice of the award. In some cases, the review committee may provide funds from the UHC Excellence or Grandma Honors funds instead of an Honors Experience Scholarship.
Please describe the experience these funds will support and how the requested funds will be used to enhance your educational goals. Please also include the planned dates of the experience.
Please include a tenative budget for the requested funds.
