Hi! My name is Bridget (she/her) and I am a fourth-year student double majoring in chemical engineering and bioresource research and minoring in chemistry. I grew up in the California Bay Area, but I attended high school in Portland. Even though my family lives in Portland we spend many of our weekends working in our hazelnut orchard in McMinnville, OR.

I am a third generation Oregon State University student, so attending Oregon State was the natural choice for me. Honestly, a big part of the reason why I joined Honors College was because I wanted smaller class sizes and to register early for classes. While these things did make my transition to college easier, through joining the Honors College Student Association, taking interesting colloquia, attending Honors College events and starting my thesis, I have realized that the community and thesis are what make me most excited about being in the Honors College.

Outside of the Honors College you might find me running around Corvallis with Oregon State Running Club, swimming in Dixon Rec Center, working as an RA in SackettĀ or reading a cool book in the LInC. In the upcoming year you hopefully will also find me working with biofuels in a lab as I start my thesis research!

If you have any questions about the Honors College, dorm life, club sports, hazelnut farming, biofuel or just anything at all, feel free to reach out to me (I love getting emails)!
