Caitlin Reid
Bend, OR

Hello! My name is Caitlin Reid and I am a fourth year Bioengineering student minoring in Business and Entrepreneurship. I grew up in Bend, Oregon and in my free time I love to read, spend time with friends, and make people laugh. After graduation, I hope to build a career in the Biotechnology industry.

I chose to attend Oregon State because of the vast amount of opportunities that it provided. Attending a large University is incredibly daunting and it was very comforting to find a such a small community within the Honors College to make campus feel a little more like home. The Honors College has given me access to smaller class sizes and personal connections with professors that would have been much more difficult to come by otherwise.

While at Oregon State, I have become a member of Kappa Delta and have held many leadership positions within my chapter. Being a member of Greek Life has allowed me to get involved with the community and make life long connections. I am also a Research Assistant in a Bioengineering lab on campus under Dr. Elain Fu. This opportunity has given me professional experience to prepare me for a future career.

Oregon State has become a home away from home for me and I couldn’t be more confident in the choice I made to attend this University. The Honors College has allowed me to have numerous opportunities that have completely transformed my college experience. Please don’t hesitate to contact me I would absolutely love to get to know you and answer any questions that you have. As always, Go Beavs!
