Congrats to 2023 HC graduate Catherine Park! Catherine earned an H.B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology and a minor in chemistry and completed her thesis, “The function analysis and characterization of suz12, a PRC2 subunit in Fusareum graminearum,” under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Freitag, university distinguished professor of biochemistry and biophysics in the College of Science. After graduation, Catherine will be taking a gap year after applying for dental school. She hopes to find engaging job opportunities, travel and dedicate more time towards art during her gap year.
