For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be some kind of doctor. I remember looking up careers in the medical field all the way back in elementary school. Throughout middle school and high school, I ultimately decided I wanted to become a veterinarian. I have always loved animals, and I currently raise 6 goats and 2 donkeys along with my dog and cat. Before heading off to college at OSU, I worked at Parkway Animal Hospital, a veterinary clinic in my home town. My time working there only solidified my passions in veterinary medicine even more. Working at a clinic taught me so many valuable lessons. I experienced both the amazing and difficult parts of the field. As a veterinarian, I know I will be able to help so many animals as well as there owners. This career will allow me to make a difference in the world, in animals lives, and in people’s lives. Currently, my goal is to finish my undergrad as an Animal Science major at OSU. I then hope to go to the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. I am interested in both large and small animals. I would also be interested in specializing. Some of the specialties that interest me are surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, and dermatology.

I am so exited to be apart of the Pre-Veterinary Scholars Program here at OSU. I can’t wait to meet my mentor and gain even more experience in the veterinary field. I am so thankful to be apart of this program.
