Congrats to 2024 HC graduate Eli Smart Eli earned an H.B.S in biochemistry & molecular biology with a minor in chemistry and completed his thesis, “Effects of Xanthohumol on Short Chain Fatty Acid Production and Intestinal Microbiota in Humans” under the mentorship of Dr. Fred Stevens, a professor of pharmaceutical sciences in the College of Pharmacy. After graduation, Eli will be working at OHSU as a medical scribe next year while applying for medical school.
