Giulia Wood

Congrats to 2023 HC graduate Giulia Wood! Giulia earned an H.B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology and environmental sciences with a minor in studio art and completed her thesis, “Response of euphausiids in the southeastern Bering Sea to variability in environmental factors between a recent cold (2008-2012) and warm (2014-2018) period,” under the mentorship of Dr. Kim Bernard, an associate professor of oceanography in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences. After graduation, Giulia will be taking a year off from school and working on applying for graduate programs. During her gap year, she hopes to fit in lots of hiking and get scuba certified.
