Isabel Brinck

Congratulations to 2021 HC graduate Isabel Brinck! Isabel graduated with an H.B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology and a minor in Spanish. Isabel's thesis, "Short-Term Lipid Overload in Skeletal Muscle Induces Mild Mitochondrial Membrane Depolarization as a Stimulus for Autophagy Activation," was completed under the mentorship of Matthew Robinson, assistant professor of biological and population health sciences in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences. Next, Isabel intends on taking a gap year and will be working as a research coordinator for the Knight Cancer Institute before applying to medical school. Congrats, Isabel!
