Congrats to 2024 HC graduate Islam Abd-Alaziz Elwefati! Islam earned an H.B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry and completed his thesis, “Microplastic Contamination in Outdoor Surface Water,” under the mentorship of Dr. Scott Geddes, a senior instructor of chemistry in the College of Science at the OSU Cascades campus. After graduation, Islam plans on taking a break, joining the workforce to get practical experience for a couple of years, and then possibly going back to school to get a master's degree.
