Congrats to 2023 HC graduate Jade Minzlaff! Jade earned an H.B.S. in chemical engineering with a minor in chemistry and completed her thesis, “Field-Use Sensor for Detection of Carbamazepine in Water,” under the mentorship of Dr. Elain Fu, an associate professor of chemical, biological and environmental engineering in the College of Engineering. After graduation, Jade will be starting the Ph.D. program in bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she wants to focus on research in synthetic biology and biosynthesis of complex molecules.
