Hello! My name is Kelly (she/her/hers) and I’m from Elk Grove, California. I am a second-year student double-majoring in Natural Resources and Sustainability with a minor in Photography. I am currently constructing my own individualized option for the NR major, and I hope to focus on a mix of forest ecosystems, social justice, and ecological restoration. My goal is to work towards solutions for environmental and climate justice, especially in marginalized communities. I want to help communities be more sustainable in relation to their local environments, while also fighting against the policies and institutions that are harming them.

Oregon State was my top school when I was applying for college. I fell in love with the scientific and research opportunities it offered, and the Honors College provided the prestige I aspired for in my college education. The most significant factor in selecting OSU over the other colleges I applied for was the HC’s small community. I love seeing familiar faces in all my courses.

Along with being an Ambassador for the Honors College, I am a photographer and videographer for the Honors College and I work locally at a frozen yogurt shop. I also play for the OSU women’s club lacrosse team.

College can be extremely intimidating, but the people you meet and the information you learn make it an incredible experience. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the HC, College of Forestry, women’s lacrosse club, or anything else about OSU! I’m here for you!
