Congrats to 2022 HC graduate Laurel Shepard! Laurel earned an H.B.S. in ecological engineering and environmental engineering and completed her thesis, “Modeling the Effect of Longwave Radiation from Solar Panels on Soil Moisture,” under the mentorship of Chad Higgins, associate professor of biological and ecological engineering in the College of Agricultural Sciences. After graduation, Laurel will be taking in the sights (and gelato!) of Italy before beginning her position as an environmental engineer at Intel's Hillsboro, Oregon, campus, where she will be involved with air and water quality compliance.
