Environmental Engineering

Welcome to my bio! I’m Lorenzo Curtis. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, so I love the outdoors. I’m a first-year student studying environmental engineering; I’m fascinated by animals, plants, and the complex and interconnected systems of our environment. I plan to work with water systems and accessibility, land reclaim analytics, and environmental risk assessment.

Oregon State was not my first choice, interestingly enough. I chose it, ultimately, because of its pioneering engineering program and deep environmental focus. I am so happy with my decision. And, being an HC student, I’ve come to discover the incredible variety of involvement opportunities. Clubs, organizations, programs, work-study, and study abroad opportunities are all available and waiting for you - The variety can be daunting, at first. It’s a matter of seeking out information, asking questions to people, and refining your understanding.

Be brave! You’ve made it to my page, meaning that you’ve just found one resource. Please reach out to me with any questions, inquiries, curiosities, and concerns. I would be more than happy to help to the best of my abilities, along with refer you to any additional resource that may be of use. As always… Go Beavs!
