Congrats to 2023 HC graduate Mathew Frischman! Mathew earned an H.B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology with a minor in chemistry and a certificate in medical humanities and completed his thesis, “Impacts of chronic ibuprofen use on cognitive function and NMDA receptor expression is sex specific,” under the mentorship of Dr. Kathy Magnusson, a professor of biomedical sciences in the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Mathew will pursue his Ph.D. in neuroscience at Vanderbilt University, where he will research mechanisms of pathology and therapies for Alzheimer's Disease.
