Honors College

My name is Payton and I was born and raised in Salem, OR. I grew up riding horses and playing softball. I graduated from South Salem High School, where I spent most of my time studying ASL and Biology. My family and I enjoy going to Oregon State football games as we are season ticket holders and huge Beaver fans! In my spare time, I like to go hiking and camping with my family, friends, and pets. Some of my hobbies include knitting, sewing, and gardening. One of my favorite past times is going out to the farm volunteering whether it be lambing, taking care of the horses, or harvesting crops. I've grown up with many pets and I currently have 2 rottweilers, a cat, a hedgehog, several fish, and a snail. I currently work at Pet Village Ltd. where I previously trained and certified one of our Rottweilers as a therapy dog. I am excited to attend Oregon State University and work towards pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.
