Congratulations to spring 2021 HC graduate Sierra Smith! Sierra will graduate with an H.B.S. in ecological engineering. Sierra's thesis, "Beaver seeking beavers: Occupancy and foraging in volcanically disturbed lentic habitat," was completed under the mentorship of Dana Sanchez, an associate professor in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences. After graduation, Sierra will be pursuing a master's in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech with a focus in watershed science and engineering. Congrats, Sierra!
