Congrats to 2023 HC graduate Sophia Taylor! Sophia earned an H.B.S. in sociology with minors in education and leadership and completed her thesis, “Menstrual Dignity and Stigma: How College Students Perceive Period Poverty,” under the mentorship of Dr. Lori Cramer, a professor of sociology in the College of Liberal Arts. After graduation, Sophia hopes to keep making a change in the communities around her. While she is still deciding between taking a year to explore who she is outside of school or going straight into graduate school, she hopes to explore all the ways that community social issues can be addressed. After spending so much time learning about sociology in theory, Sophia is excited to start working on practicing sociology instead.
