Hi there! My name is Tiffany Tep and I am a fourth year student studying Biology with a Pre-Dental option and minors in Chemistry and Business & Entrepreneurship. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and I am the youngest in a family of Beavers!
I chose to attend the OSU Honors College because I wanted to be a part of a community of like-minded individuals. By having an older sister in the Honors College, I was already familiar with some aspects of it. However, I had no idea how much the HC would shape my college experience! Being a member of the HC has made OSU’s large campus feel so much smaller and allowed me to find some of my closest friends and new passions. During my freshman year, I took a colloquia class on a whim and ended up finding my thesis mentors! My thesis aims to explore the intergenerational effects of the Khmer Rouge genocide through the use of oral history interviews. Through my thesis, I have been able to become closer to my parents and learn more about my culture and family history. With the support of the Honors College, I was able to travel to Cambodia to interview survivors and in the future I plan to interview survivors across the United States.
While at OSU, I have been involved in the Pre-Dental Society, ASOSU Senate, Homecoming Court, and Greek life. I am the President of the Collective Greek Council and a proud member of Sigma Delta Omega, OSU’s sorority for women in science.
If you have any questions about the Honors College, getting involved on campus, or where the best study spots are, feel free to reach out to me! Go Beavs!
