Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

English, Vietnamese

Hello! My name is Tuyet, and I am a third-year Accountancy major and have a minor in Psychology. I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I have lived and studied in the US for 4 years.

Being a part of the Honors College was an unexpected idea but the greatest choice I have ever made during my 4 years of studying in the US. Studying in a private high school in Beaverton, which had less than 100 students in total, prompted me to look for something bigger such as Oregon State. However, I was missing the feeling of being part of a close community and that is what the Honors College has provided for me. More than that, I have the chance to be around people who are highly motivated, passionate, and extremely kind.

By taking a Thesis class, I was able to find my mentor and participate in the mentor’s research in addition to working on my thesis. This is a great opportunity to learn, develop, network, and explore my career path in the future. In addition, I finished my internship for a well-known real estate company in Austin, Texas. I am proud and interested to see how OSU, especially the Honors College has helped me grow and develop my career path. I am an AE, Pathway, OSU, and now HC student.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about my experience with the Honors College, College of Business, or as an Oregon State student in general, especially being an international student.
