After graduation, Caitlin will be pursuing a J.D. at Lewis & Clark Law School.

After graduation, Kahlan will be taking a trip to the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

Atticus earned an H.B.S in biology with a minor in chemistry and completed his thesis, “Cannabis flower, concentrates, and edibles : a narrative review of health and substance use outcomes,” under the mentorship of Dr. Anita Cservenka, an associate professor of psychological science in the College of Liberal Arts. Following graduation, Atticus will continue working in an electrochemistry lab before he applies to Ph.D. programs next year.

After graduation, Annabella will be conducting soundscape research around the world, playing in her band and releasing more music.

After graduation, Allie dreams of working in the audio field, but is still exploring all of her options.

Carson earned an H.B.S in biohealth sciences and a certificate in medical humanities with a minor in chemistry and completed his thesis, “Fissures in Healthcare: An Assessment of Disconnects Between Dental and Medical Professionals,” under the mentorship of Dr. Phil McFadden, an associate professor of biochemistry and biophysics in the College of Science. Following graduation, Carson will be attending dental school at OHSU as a part of the Class of 2029.

Sydney earned an H.B.S in microbiology with minors in chemistry and psychology and completed her thesis, “Cracking the Bacteria and Phage Code: Characterizing transmission parameters of a phage system and developing a mathematical model,” under the mentorship of Dr. Claudia Häse, a professor of microbial pathogenesis in the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Sydney will be working an infectious disease internship at OHSU studying antibiotic resistance in opportunistic pathogens. After she saves up some money, she will travel around Europe while applying to medical school.

She completed her thesis,“‘It’s always easier with a queer provider’: A Qualitative Evaluation of Gender Disclosure Among Transgender and Gender Diverse Cancer Survivors,” under the mentorship of Dr. Jessica Gorman, associate professor in the School of Public Health. Anya is currently applying to medical school with plans to begin in fall 2026, aspiring to pursue a career in surgery.

Congrats to 2025 HC graduate Alexis Merker! Alexis earned an H.B.S in fisheries, wildlife, and conservation sciences and completed her thesis, “Community, Conflict, and Enabling Conditions: A Qualitative Analysis of Oregon's Marine Reserve System to Inform Adaptive Management,” under the mentorship of Dr. Jenna Sullivan-Stack, research associate in the Department of Integrative Biology. This summer, Alexis is serving as a Summer Scholar with Oregon Sea Grant, working with the Oregon Coastal and Ocean Information Network (OCOIN) to promote long-term collaboration among policymakers, managers and researchers involved in coastal and marine projects. After the internship, Alexis plans on attending graduate school to pursue her interests in the human dimensions of marine mammal or marine ecosystem conservation.
