Hey there! My name is Drew Kutcher, and I am a senior in the honors college. I am studying BioHealth Sciences with a minor in chemistry and an option in pre-medicine. I was born in Woodland Hills, California, but I've called Ashland, Oregon, home for more than 15 years.

The main reason that I decided to come to Oregon State was because of the honors college. I always knew that I wanted to attend a big university but was intimidated by the large class sizes attributed to them. Through the honors college, I have been able to have access to the resources of a large university, but also have small class sizes. Additionally, it has provided me with passionate professors who take the time to get to know me, unique opportunities, such as volunteering in Nepal, and, ultimately, being part of a community of intellectuals driven to Be More.

At OSU, I try to fill my time with things I'm passionate about. Currently, I am the president and one of the founding members of the Operation Smile club; A club that raises funds and awareness as well as connecting students with opportunities with Operation Smile, a non-profit that provides cleft lip and palate surgeries for kids in developing countries. Additionally, I was the philanthropy chairman of my fraternity, a former research assistant in the interpersonal sensitivity lab on campus, and a current Guayaki university ambassador. Also, I have studied abroad in Switzerland/Morocco, where I studied global health and humanitarian action and completed a thesis focused on mitigating medical errors through patient safety reform in low to middle-income countries. Finally, I love to spend time participating in IM sports, from sitting volleyball to ultimate frisbee to 4v4 soccer.

Your college experience is entirely in your hands, which is exciting! However, it can also be stressful and feel daunting. Lucky for you, though, you are not alone! As an honors college ambassador, I am here to help you. Whether it's about the Honors College, IM sports, studying abroad, joining or starting a club, or Greek life, I'll do my best to give you all the information you might be interested in. So, if you have a question or just want to talk about college, don't hesitate to reach out!
