The LInC, the HC offices and the SLUG will remain open in winter term to provide students with support, services and study spaces as long as conditions allow. Co-curricular activities will be offered both in-person and remotely. HC advising will be offered primarily remotely, but students who wish an in person meeting should contact the Honors College advising office. Our plan for these services and their availability will respond to current health conditions and public health guidelines, and we will take all precautions to minimize student, staff and faculty risk of exposure to COVID-19. Information about Oregon State University's current safety and success plans is available here.
Beginning Monday, January 4th, the Honors College offices in Learning Innovation Center 450 will be open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the Learning Innovation Center will be open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Access to Honors College resources requires use of face masks and adherence to physical distancing guidelines in accordance with OSU safety policies. In addition, all Honors College students must agree with the Honors College Community Compact and follow all posted rules and instructions in HC spaces.
Special note - The code that had previously unlocked the LInC after hours has now been deactivated. Access to the building requires use of an Oregon State ID card.
The Student Learning Center in the LInC (the SLUG) is currently closed and will reopen on Monday, January 4th during its typical hours of operation, with restrictions on capacity (currently limited to 40 students) and some new policies designed to increase safety.
During the term, access to the LInC on Sundays and Monday-Thursday after 6:00 p.m. requires use of your ID card and is restricted to Honors College students. HC students working in the LInC outside of building hours (6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday) are restricted to the SLUG, Honors College classrooms and adjoining study spaces. When entering and exiting after hours, be sure external doors close and latch. Violation of rules, bringing in non-honors students after hours, or sharing the passcode may result in suspension of after-hours privileges for the entire HC community.
Students accessing the SLUG are required to clean up after themselves according to posted instructions using provided supplies.
Honors College classroom spaces in the LInC - rooms 343, 345, 350 and 360 - are available for student use when the SLUG is open. Students who would like to use classrooms must check-in and check-out in the SLUG. Please do not use these spaces without checking in. Classrooms can also be reserved in advance in the SLUG.
Honors College academic advisors will offer Zoom appointments and limited in-person appointments. For a complete listing of our hours of operation and to schedule an appointment, visit honors.oregonstate.edu/academic-advising.
