Congratulations to 2021 HC graduate Gillian Williams! Gillian graduated with an H.B.S. in bioengineering. Gillian's thesis, "Encapsulation of Rhodococcus rhodochrous ATCC 21198 in gellan gum at high densities and with a slow-release substrate for the in-situ bioremediation of contaminant mixtures from groundwater," was completed under the mentorship of Lewis Semprini, a distinguished professor of environmental engineering in the College of Engineering. Next, Gillian will be starting a position in gene therapy research. Congrats, Gillian!
