Congrats to 2026 HC graduate Rio Okawa! Rio earned an H.B.S in fisheries, wildlife, and conservation sciences and completed his thesis, "Why the biggest Testudinidaes (giant tortoises) persist only on remote islands: a comparative evolutionary and ecological review,” under the mentorship of Dr. Selina Heppell, a professor of fisheries, wildlife, and conservation sciences in the College of Agricultural Sciences. After graduation, he will be starting his master's program.
