Position Description
Students are expected to work in the lab for at least two terms. They will gain experience working in an interdisciplinary team and have opportunities to present their work professionally and contribute to publications.
Project Description
Luyao leads the AI4Food research program. One of her research areas focuses on developing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning tools to detect food spoilage at an early stage, helping to improve and sanitize the food processing environment. Students in her group engage in both microbiological wet lab work and Python coding to build machine learning models.
