Position Description
This opportunity would be most suitable for students interested in programming, or software engineering and have a good grasp of physics. C programming skills preferred but not essential.
Project Description
We study the interaction between spin waves (magnetic waves) and acoustic waves for the development of new signal processing devices. I am looking for an ambitious and self-motivated student interested in developing computer models for these interactions that take advantage of the massively parallel computing power of graphics processors (GPUs) on OSU's high performance computing cluster as well as possibly on the future NVIDIA supercomputer being built on Monroe. https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/10715667
