Honors Alum, Giulia Wood, ’23, First Oregon State Student to Receive Marshall Scholarship

This fall, Honors College alumna Giulia Wood became the first Oregon State University student to receive a Marshall Scholarship. Giulia is one of just 43 students from across the U.S. selected for this award, one of the world’s most prestigious scholarships.  As a Marshall scholar, she will pursue a Ph.D. in marine sciences at the University of Liverpool, where she will investigate Antarctic krill physiology and their role in biogeochemical cycling in the southern ocean.

Four OSU Honors Students Offered a Scholarship for 2024-2025 Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The Fulbright Student Scholarship is an international academic exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government for students pursuing graduate study, conducting research or teaching English abroad. This year, four Honors College students from Oregon State have been offered Fulbright scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year: Emma Baughman of Portland, Mohnish Judge of Lake Oswego, Aubreyanna Olsen of Salem and Camden Schmidt of Cheyenne, Wyoming. A fifth OSU applicant, Brittni Wisner of Palmer, Alaska, has been chosen as an alternate.

Oregon State Honors College and Center for the Humanities Announce Recipients of 2022 Summer Internships

The Oregon State University Honors College and the OSU Center for Humanities are pleased to announce the recipients of the summer 2022 Honors College-Center for the Humanities Research Internships. Honors College undergraduate applicants submitted proposals jointly with a faculty supervisor, and six teams were selected to participate in this year’s program.

The Oregon State University Honors College and the Center for the Humanities have announced the 2021 recipients of a summer undergraduate internship jointly sponsored by the Honors College, the Center for the Humanities and the College of Liberal Arts. Participants submitted applications in partnership with faculty mentors, and five teams were selected to participate in this year’s program.
