Honors College Alumni Community

Dam Proud Day 2025, the annual OSU Day of Giving, was on Wednesday, April 30. The Honors College raised over $80,000 for scholarships, with gifts from almost 190 donors. Thank you so much to everyone who supports honors students.

The Honors College and Program alumni community is one of the most active, accomplished and engaged groups of Oregon State University graduates, and we are committed to providing alums with opportunities to connect with one another and with current students. Whether you attend one of the events and meet-ups we hold throughout the U.S. and online each year, share your career insights with the next generation of honors students or just follow HC newsletters and social media, we are excited to have you involved.

We want to hear your ideas and input. Reach out to the Honors College Assistant Dean of Advising, External Relations and Operations, Kevin Stoller, with your thoughts at (541) 737-6425 or [email protected].

Catch up with HC Alum and Former ASOSU President Carissa O’Donnell, '24

Alumni Leadership Circle

The Honors College Alumni Leadership Circle (ALC) is a group of honors alumni committed to supporting and advancing the Honors College’s mission and values. The group meets remotely in fall and spring to hear college updates and discuss strategies for creating meaningful, ongoing connections between alumni and the Honors College experience. In the winter, the ALC is invited to join other HC leadership groups, the Board of Regents and Parent and Family Leadership Circle, for a special State of the College presentation.

ALC members advise in the development and implementation of new alumni networking programming and support the creation of opportunities that support the current student experience. Members are encouraged to make an annual contribution of any amount to the Honors College.

"The interdisciplinary nature of the HC allowed me to break out of my academic bubble. In HC classes, I am not just talking to other students in my discipline. I learn and interact with future engineers, doctors, researchers, and public servants."

Camden Schmidt, '23, Environmental Economics and Policy

"Honors College faculty are some of the most enthusiastic professors I have had the privilege to study with. They bring a refreshing, exciting energy to class and clearly care deeply about their students and their field."

Grace Knutsen, '24, History, German and French

"At first, I didn’t comprehend the wealth of resources and guidance available in the Honors College. The thesis was daunting initially but once I took a hands-on approach to my academic career, everything followed naturally. My thesis experience created networking opportunities, learning experiences, lasting connections and made me an official published author!"
