When Toni Doolen was named dean of the Honors College in 2014, it had just under 1,000 students in Corvallis. As she completed her tenure at the end of 2025, there were more than 2,500 honors students in Corvallis, at OSU-Cascades and online via Ecampus.
Toni Doolen sat down with Honors Link to talk about her tenure as dean of the Honors College. This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
Dr. Troy Hall has been appointed interim dean of the Honors College, effective Thursday, April 23. Dr. Hall currently serves as associate dean of the college and will assume the interim role following the conclusion of an internal search. Dr. Toni Doolen’s twelve-year tenure as Honors College dean concluded in December, 2025.
