Experiential Learning Scholarship

Honors College students in need of financial support for thesis research expenses, participation in professional conferences, engagement in an Honors College international opportunity or payment of fees or other (non tuition) expenses associated with enrollment in an Honors College course can apply through OSU ScholarDollars for an Honors Experiential Learning Scholarship. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the maximum scholarship award is $750. Determinations are made based on availability of funds, need and the impact of the award. All scholarships are paid through the university scholarship system.

In order to be eligible for these scholarships and grants, students must be enrolled and in good standing with the Honors College through the time of the experience and must have a thesis proposal on file with the Honors College to receive funding for thesis research. Applicants will be required to provide details about how funds will be used and their impact. Honors College differential tuition and the standard tuition association with enrollment in a course are not eligible expenses for this award. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and a strong commitment to completing their Honors Baccalaureate degree requirements and to students who have not previously received an Honors College experiential learning award.
