We understand that your career goals, academic interests, and life circumstances shift throughout your undergraduate career. If you are considering withdrawal because you are experiencing barriers that are impacting your honors progress or if you are unsure how you might make progress or complete Honors College requirements please contact your HC academic advisor.  We also suggest reviewing the HC degree track options. If you are experiencing financial challenges, please visit Honors College Scholarships to see if there are scholarships or grants that may be of benefit.

If you are sure that you wish to withdraw from the Honors College (HC) please submit the withdrawal form. Once you have submitted the form the HC will be notified and a staff member will send the curriculum change request to the Registrar’s Office.

Note: The only way to be officially removed from the Honors College is to submit this form. If your Honors designation is removed without HC authorization, it will be reinstated and you will continue to be charged honors differential tuition.

Please be aware that withdrawal from the Honors College is a curriculum change and all curriculum changes (including Honors degree and major removal) must be requested by 11:55 p.m. on the Sunday after the first full week of classes for the change to take effect during the current term. When you submit an Honors College withdrawal request by this deadline, an Honors differential tuition refund will be issued for the current term and the curriculum change will be visible on your current term record within a few days. Any Honors withdrawal requests received after 11:55 p.m. on the Sunday after the first full week of classes will be sent to the registrar by the Honors College promptly, but the registrar’s office will apply the change to future terms. Students whose curriculum is changed for future terms are not eligible for an Honors differential tuition refund for the current term and the curriculum change won’t be visible on their current term record.
