This page lists the courses the Honors College is planning to offer. The courses listed here and their descriptions are subject to change.
For full details of the course offerings, including the days/times, course fees, etc., check the OSU Schedule of Classes. Everything listed on this page is subject to change, so make sure you check the listings in the OSU Schedule of Classes, especially right before registration begins.
The list of courses below is updated regularly to reflect the courses that the HC intends to offer and all information is subject to change.
Course Descriptions:
- To see the course description, simply hover your mouse over the course and the description will pop up.
Filtering:
- The filters on the top of the tool (directly above the list of courses) allow you to filter the list by term, course campus, HC credit category, and instructor.
- Simply select the checkbox next to the item you'd like to filter by and the list will update itself. For example, if you want to see the Winter 2026 offerings, select the checkbox next to Winter 2026 in the Term filter at the top of the tool.
- To clear a filter, click the small eraser icon next to the name of the filter.
- You can filter by multiple criteria. For example, you can select a specific term (or terms) in the Term filter and you can also select a specific campus, category, and/or instructor in the other filters.
- Not seeing filter options you'd expect? There may be another filter applied in another filter box. The filters are dynamic and update themselves whenever you choose any of the options in any of the boxes, so check the other filter boxes if you're not seeing an option you'd expect to be able to choose for a filter.
Searching:
- The Course filter and the Instructor(s) filter allow you to search for a specific course or instructor. You can scroll through the lists and select the box for what you're looking for, or you can click inside the search bar at the top of that filter box and type the name of the course or instructor you're looking for.
Sorting:
- You can click on a column header to sort the results by that column.
- If you want to sort by two columns, you can click the first column, then hold shift and click the second column. For example, if you want to sort by term, then by instructor, you would click on the Term column header, then hold Shift and click on the Instructor(s) column header.
Size:
- On the bottom right corner of the tool, there is an option to adjust how zoomed in you want the view to be.
- You can zoom in to make the text bigger, or you can zoom out to make the text smaller.
HC Category columns:
- The Honors College curriculum requirements have recently been updated. While new honors students will have the new set of HC curriculum requirements, students who were enrolled in the HC before the changes still have the previous set of requirements.
- The two sets of curriculum requirements have different subcategories to fulfill, so they each have a separate column and filter in the tool on this page.
- Students who join the Honors College in the 2025-2026 academic year (refered to as "Catalog Year") or later have the new HC curriculum requirements associated with the tracks named "Honors Scholar Track A" and "Honors Scholar Track B." These two tracks have subcategories that require some honors credits to be Honors Foundations, some to be Seminars, and some to be Thesis.
- Students who joined the Honors College in the 2024-2025 academic year (referred to as "Catalog Year") or earlier have HC curriculum requirements associated with the tracks named "Honors Scholar" and "Honors Associate." These two tracks have subcategories that require some honors credits to be Bacc Core, some to be Electives, some to be Colloquia, and some to be Thesis.
How do I know which Honors College track I have?
- The blocks in MyDegrees will display which Honors College track you have. The top of that block has the name associated with your Honors College requirements and will say either "Honors Scholar Track A," "Honors Scholar Track B," "Honors Scholar," or "Honors Associate."

Always check the listing of honors courses in the OSU schedule for final details of an offering.
- There is an "Honors Course" checkbox in the "Advanced Search" section of the OSU schedule.
- If you want to find all honors courses for a particular term in the OSU schedule, choose the term filter you want, click the "Honors Course" checkbox, then click the Search button.
- You can also add any of the other filters available in the OSU schedule and the "Honors Course" checkbox will limit the results to just the honors classes.
- Want to know if an honors version of a specific class will be offered? You can search for the honors course number (the one with the H at the end) or the regular course number (the one without the H at the end), and both should work. For example, if you want to know if an honors version of PHL 443 will be offered, you can search for "PHL 443H" OR you can search for just "PHL 443" and the honors version, if it exists in the schedule, will come up in the search results with all the other sections of the class being offered.
The Honors College Experiential Learning Scholarship can assist students in paying non-tuition course fees. More information is available on the Experiential Learning Scholarship page.
Add/Drop Deadlines for regular courses that take place over the entire term are in the OSU academic calendar.
Add/Drop Deadlines for “Non-traditional courses,” like courses that take place in the pre-term extension period, weeks 1-5, or weeks 6-10 are in the OSU academic calendar for non-traditional courses.
Yes, honors students at the Corvallis and Cascades campuses can take honors Ecampus courses.
When registration opens, honors Ecampus courses are restricted to only allow honors Ecampus students and honors Cascades students to register. Those campus restrictions will be removed in Week 10 to allow honors Corvallis students to register for honors Ecampus courses.
Important Note: Tuition rates for Ecampus courses are different than tuition rates for on-campus courses. Ecampus course tuition rates can be found on the Ecampus Tuition Information page.
Non-honors students can petition to fill an empty seat in an honors class if there's still room in the class after all honors students have had a chance to register. Information on how this process works, as well as the link to fill out a petition, is available on the HC website here.
Fall extension classes take place BEFORE fall term and are not open to incoming OSU students new to OSU for fall.
Registration dates and deadlines follow the OSU academic calendar for non-traditional offerings.
